Description of tasks

The successful candidate will participate to collective researches in the Institute on urban systems with databases on economic inter/intra urban networks. The study will be divided in two steps:

1- matching these bases and optimize their organization;
2- Structuring multi-agent modeling micro / meso / macro development of urban systems as a result of the evolution of these networks.
Professors active in these two domains will supervise the study.
The successful candidate will participate to the building of a master course and to tutorials on these two domains.
The successful candidate will devote at least 50% of her/his time to personal research and up to 50% to the common project described above.

Wished profile

Applicants should have a PhD degree in computer science, geography or in social sciences, with a deep practice in Information systems and models in geography. Preference will be given to a candidate who has worked in the domains of:

– Mining, organization and analysis of massive databases;
– Programming of multi-agent systems;
– Experience of working with geographers and social scientists.

The applicants should have the goal of completing research on geographical researches on interurban systems
